Travelers must arrange any visit to Bhutan through an authorized travel agent. Those traveling independently are not permitted to enter Bhutan.

Tourists to Bhutan are obliged to use Druk Air (the only airline serving Bhutan) which is also the national carrier of the Royal Government of Bhutan either on entering or leaving the country. It operates to seven stations including six cities in five countries: Bangladesh - (Dhaka) Bhutan - (Paro) India - (Gaya, Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai) Nepal - (Kathmandu) and Thailand - (Bangkok)

If you want to travel to Bhutan, try to book your travel as early as possible that will ensure you get a good hotel, and confirmed Druk Air flight seats. If you are traveling to Bhutan for the festivals, you must book your tour 4-5 months in advance, if you are traveling for different season book you tour in 2-3 months in advance.
For all travelers, entering into the country by surface through Phuntsholing (the border town south of Bhutan), the visa is stamped on arrival.

CHILD FARE: A child passenger is one who has not reached his/her 12th birthday on the date of commencement of travel. Such child will be charged 67% of the applicable adult fare. Children of 12 years of age and over will pay the full applicable adult fare. INFANT FARE: An infant is one who has not reached his/her 2nd birthday and who is not occupying an individual seat. He/she will be charged 10% of the adult applicable fare.
